Palouse Counseling Recognized as "Outstanding Social
Work Agency" of 2003 by the Washington State Chapter of the National
Association of Social Workers
The certificate reads "Your program has touched so many lives. Thank
you!" We are very pleased to be honored by our peers at NASW Washington
State. In her nomination, Janet Ockerman, PhD, Professor of Social Work
at Walla Walla College, writes:
"Palouse Counseling and Consulting has grown very quickly over the last
few years. The agency has expanded its facilities and its staff in order
to meet the needs of our growing community. Known in the community for
its policy of never turning anyone away, Palouse Counseling and Consulting
staff will find a referral source or create services on demand. Staff
represents the diversity of client demographics. Since our community
has a number of Spanish-speaking clients, the agency offers services
in both English and Spanish. The agency also has contracts to provide
Employee Assistance Program services for a variety of local agencies,
including the local school district. The agency operates in a professional
