WHAT IS EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE?
Very simply, Employee Assistance is a voluntary program designed
to help employees with issues that may interfere with a person's
ability to function at their best, at work or at home.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE AT PALOUSE COUNSELING?
Palouse Counseling has EAP contracts with the following Walla
Walla area employers:
- Adventist Health
- Valley Residential Services
- Army Corps of Engineers
All covered employees and their immediate families are eligible
for Employee Assistance.
If your employer doesn't offer an Employee Assistance Program
or offers a program that doesn't meet your needs, have your employer
contact Laurie Heikkenen, our EAP Coordinator, for more information
on how we can help!
WHAT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED IN THE PALOUSE COUNSELING EAP?
- Assessment
- Referral Resources
- Confidential Counseling
- Flexible hours to meet your needs
WHAT KINDS OF ISSUES DOES THE EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM ADDRESS?
We can assess and advise on any problem or difficulty that interferes
with your ability to function at work and at home. Here are some
examples:
- Stress
- Marital Problems
- Chemical Dependency
- Family Problems
- Depression
- Mental Illness
- Work Performance
- Financial Problems
- Legal Difficulties
- Aging Parent Care
- Parenting Challenges
- Anger Management
. . . just to name a few. Our qualified, credentialed, and dedicated
staff have a wide variety of specialties. If we can't help you
here, we'll get you to someone who can.
|
IS IT CONFIDENTIAL?
YES. We report the number of people we see every month to your
employer. That's all. We can speak with your employer if you wish,
but only at your request and after you have signed a release of
information.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The first three sessions are absolutely FREE. If counseling beyond
the first three visits is necessary, we will work with you and your
insurance to make sure you get the care you need. Because we are
a provider group as well as an Employee Assistance Program, you
can stay with your Palouse counselor and we will bill your insurance,
or, if you prefer, we can refer you to another Palouse counselor
or another provider.
