Payment Options and Policies
To make Visa, Mastercard, and Discover payments to Palouse

Session charge: $100.00 to $125.00 per 50-minute
hour; $10.00 per 50-minute hour for Option
Intern.*
Payment Schedule: We prefer you to pay at the time of your appointment.
Statements: We send all active clients a statement showing charges
and amounts paid after the end of every month. In addition, if you pay
in cash, we will give you a receipt.
Sliding Fee Scale: Sometimes we negotiate a lower fee or an
extended payment plan, on a case by case basis, for unusual circumstances.
Let us know if you need to discuss this. If you have low income,
you may be entitled to free or sliding fee scale counseling at the Walla
Walla County Department of Human Services (527-3278). We encourage you
to contact them.
Insurance: We are on several insurance company preferred provider
lists. We will gladly bill your insurance--don't forget we need a copy
of your insurance card! It is up to you to check to see whether your
insurance requires pre-authorization or a doctor's referral. The majority
of denials of claims we get are because the client didn't obtain a referral.
You are responsible for charges your insurance declines to pay.
Credit Cards: We can take Mastercard and Visa payments in the
office or online via Paypal. Paypal is an easy,
free, safe way to make credit card payments.
Medicaid/Medical Coupons/Healthy Options: We can accept Molina
and Community Health Plan (CHPW) medical coupons. We would love to accept
the other medical coupons, but we don't have a contract with the State
and County allowing us to. If you have Medicaid or Healthy Options
(other than Molina and Community Health Plan), you may be entitled
to free services at the Walla Walla County Department of Human Services
(527-3278). We encourage you to contact them.
Medicare: We accept Medicare with a supplement.
*Option Intern: If , for whatever reason, you can't or don't
want to pay our regular fee for counseling and choose not to use the
other community resources you may be entitled to, you can see a carefully
supervised graduate intern at Palouse Counseling for $10.00 per session.
We charge this fee to help with overhead costs and to give you a sense
of investment in your therapy. The intern benefits from the experience
they have with you. We benefit by knowing we don't have to turn anyone
away. You benefit by getting competent counseling at a very low cost!
We make every effort under all circumstances to assure that people who
contact us for help get it, whether from us or from someone else. Let
us know if you are having difficulty getting the help you need!
This policy does not apply to clients who are seen under contractual
arrangements such as Employee Assistance Programs, DCFS, Crime Victims
Compensation, etc.
